Velkommen til Ålborg!

Denmark is one of the founding partners of the Young Audience Award. Having been on board since the first edition in 2012, they participated with the capital city Copenhagen. In 2022 jury members will watch films in cinemas in FIVE cities: Ålborg, Århus, Svendborg, Ballerup, Herlev.

In Aalborg, you can experience a lot of events for kids and adults all year around. Whether a good vacation for you means interesting attractions, hours of shopping, or good, cultural experiences .

Aalborg has a lot to offer. Aalborg Zoo is Denmark's second-biggest zoo and Aalborg's most popular attraction. But you can also meet the Vikings in Aalborg! What did they eat and drink? What did they believe in? All this is presented through exciting new techniques as well as the original burial site at Lindholm Høje Museum.

The Centre For Educational Resources

The Centre for Educational Resources is, among other things, in charge of the regional School Cinema in Northern Jutland. Every school year ten films are screened in 20 cinema theatres in all corners of the region. Approximately 35,000 children take part, and back in the classrooms they work with the teaching material that is provided by the Danish Film Institute. In the city of Aalborg all school children are also offered a membership in Aalborg Filmklub in their leisure time.

Velkommen til Århus!

Denmark is one of the founding partners of the Young Audience Award. Having been on board since the first edition in 2012, they participated with the capital city Copenhagen. In 2022 jury members will watch films in cinemas in FIVE cities: Ålborg, Århus, Svendborg, Ballerup, Herlev.

Diverse, modern and fun, Aarhus is one of the happiest cities on Earth. A visit to Aarhus' art galleries, cosy Latin Quarter or the Old Town will show you just why Aarhus' residents, and visitors, are so happy.

Aarhus is a dynamic city on the Jutland peninsula. From here, beach, harbour and forest are only a 15-minute bike ride away. Historically Aarhus it’s one of the oldest city in Denmark, but 13% of Aarhus’ populations are students, making Aarhus the youngest city in Denmark. Being young at heart means that the city can offer you a wide spectrum of cultural experiences, from nightlife, cultural events and shopping to the best restaurants in the region.

Aarhus is also home to popular festivals, such as Food Festival, SPOT Festival and NorthSide Music Festival. Visit the distinctive art museum, ARoS, to see groundbreaking works from some of the world’s most progressive artists. At Moesgaard Museum, you can witness artefacts from the earliest period of the Viking Age. Den Gamle By - The Old Town Museum is a unique, international attraction which you can walk around with your whole family. Frequently named as the number one shopping destination in Scandinavia, Aarhus has the biggest international brands and Scandinavian shops and designers waiting to be discovered.

DaBUF 

The National Association of Danish Children and Youth Film Clubs (DaBUF) is an organization that works with the communication related to and production of image media for children and young people. The members of the organization are children's and youth film clubs as well as institutions and associations. 

DaBUF organizes 74 film clubs spread across the country - as well as in Greenland. Film clubs have screenings for about 56,000 children annually. DaBUF helps the volunteers who run the clubs to select, distribute and to a lesser extent produce films that give the children high-quality experiences with the film medium. In addition, DaBUF is responsible for projects that aim to engage and motivate children and young people in film work.

Velkommen til Ballerup!

Ballerup is in Greater Copenhagen – southern Scandinavia’s international metropolis. With only 15 km to Copenhagen city centre and a 20-minute drive to Copenhagen Airport, Ballerup enjoys a highly advantageous central location.

Velkommen til Herlev!

Denmark is one of the founding partners of the Young Audience Award. Having been on board since the first edition in 2012, they participated with the capital city Copenhagen. In 2022 jury members will watch films in cinemas in FIVE cities: Ålborg, Århus, Svendborg, Ballerup, Herlev.

Herlev is a suburb located about nine kilometers northwest of central Copenhagen, is the site of the City Council of the Municipality of Herlev, Denmark. It is famous for being the tallest building in Denmark and the highest fifth (120m) hospital in the world. Its modern architecture and functional aluminum concrete, glass and bronze gloss gives a unique impression.
