Italian Film Wins EFA Young Audience Award 2015

At the end of a long day packed with screenings, discussions and a final vote, kids all over Europe elected the Italian film THE INVISIBLE BOY as the winner of the EFA Young Audience Award 2015. Screenwriter Stefano Sardo was present at the awards ceremony in Erfurt to accept the award and said: “Thank you so much, this was unexpected! We made a film for kids and we’re sooo happy that they like it!”

Before that, 12-14-year-old audiences in the following 25 cities had transmitted their votes live via video conference to the awards ceremony hosted by German TV host, author and director Thomas Hermanns and streamed live here on the internet. The juries came from:

•Amsterdam/the Netherlands
•Skopje/FYR Macedonia
•Tel Aviv/Israel

Congrats to THE INVISIBLE BOY and a big thank you to all three nominees and the kids who participated across Europe!
